I am really glad you’ve accepted my interview. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions.
Thanks for having me.

Can you tell us a bit more about how you became a writer?
I’ve loved reading since I was very young, and in my teens I started writing stories and novels.  None of those early efforts really went anywhere, but in my early 20s I became more serious.  By my late 20s I’d had my first novel published, and in my mid-30s I went full time as a writer.  I’ve been doing it as a living ever since!

Was it difficult for the first book to find a publisher?
Actually it worked out quite easily, it was a small press publisher who happened to be looking for novel submissions just as I’d finished writing a novel.  I submitted, they accepted, and that was it!  I still remember the day I called the publisher from work to ask about the status of my application and the editor saying, „I’d like to accept your book for publication.“  I called my mother and told her, my wife, and then my boss.  And it took another 7 years of writing before I started making a living.

Could you describe literature in three words?
Life and death.

Is there a book you would never read? Why?
No, I don’t think so.  Or if there is, I’d only know I didn’t want to read it after I’d read it!

What’s your favorite book?
 Favorite quote?
Quote: If you think you can do something, or think you can’t, you’re probably right.

Favourite book … that’s just too tough.

EBooks or paper print?
Paper print … although just last month I bought my very first Kindle and I’m really enjoying it!

What inspires you?
I try not to analyse what I do or why I do it.  I just love telling stories.  I guess that need is my main motivation.

Imagine you were given the opportunity to meet a book character in real life. Who would that be?
Gandalf.
Please explain.
Wise. Tough. Great beard.

What’s your worst nightmare?
Something bad happening to my family.

The best decision of your life was?
Besides marrying my wife (of course!) … quitting my day job to become a writer.

I can’t wait to read your next book. Are you currently working on a project? Is there any release date to reveal?
Yes, working on a couple of new novels and screenplay projects, but none of them are sold yet, so no dates set!  Keep an eye on my social media or website for info: http://www.timlebbon.net
